Alone with two toddlers all day—why this learning tower has truly changed our daily routine

There are children’s products you buy and forget about again after a few weeks. And then there are things that quietly become part of everyday life. That’s how it was for us with this 3-in-1 learning tower.

What our daily life looked like back then
Today, my twin boys are four years old. I bought the learning tower when they were around two—in a time when I was often alone at home with both of them during the day.
My husband was often at work, and daily life simply carried on: making breakfast, tidying the kitchen, doing laundry, putting away toys, washing hands, cutting fruit. With two toddlers, it’s rarely just one thing at a time.

If one of them wanted to see what I was doing on the kitchen counter, the other immediately wanted to climb up too. If one wanted to help, the other naturally wanted to join in as well. That’s when I realized: I didn’t need yet another way to keep them occupied—I needed something that would genuinely make our everyday life easier.
Why I was looking for something like this
It was important to me that it would not be exciting only for a short time. Especially with twins, you think more carefully about what is really worth keeping—particularly when space is limited.
I wanted something both children could use, something that would fit into our daily routine and offer more than just one function. It should be safe, sturdy, and ideally remain interesting for more than just a few months.

That’s why the idea of a 3-in-1 learning tower with a table and slide immediately appealed to me. Not as a toy for occasional use, but as something that could grow with them.
Why I chose this model
In the end, it was the combination that convinced me: this model offers solid wood, a sturdy construction, a load capacity of up to 50 kg, as well as CE and EN71 certification. As a mother, these are not minor details for me, but exactly the points I look at first.

There was also the practical side: learning tower, table, and slide in one. Especially if you don’t want to buy a new piece of furniture for every stage, something like this simply makes sense. Shipping from Germany was also a plus for me.
What was important to me: safe, sturdy, space-saving, practical for everyday life—and versatile enough that it wouldn’t sit unused in the corner after a short time.
What changed for us
The change wasn’t huge or sudden—rather quiet, but noticeable. In the kitchen, the children suddenly had a permanent place near me. They could watch, help, and join in the conversation while standing more safely, instead of me constantly having to lift someone up or put them back down.

Things also became easier in the bathroom and when washing their hands. Above all, I liked the feeling that I no longer had to constantly “organize them out of the way.” They were allowed to be part of things—and that was exactly what they wanted.
Later, we often converted the learning tower into a table. They drew, looked through books, and worked on puzzles there. On other days, the slide was the highlight. I liked how naturally this one piece of furniture could adapt to our day.

Why it has stayed with us to this day
Many things for children are interesting at first and then disappear from everyday life. It was different for us. I bought the learning tower when my twins were two. Today they are four—and they still use it.
At first, what they loved most was standing at eye level with us. Later, the table became more important. Today, they draw there, look at books, or play quietly together. And the slide is still a little extra that brings them joy time and again.

That’s exactly why we still have it: not just because it looks good, but because it has changed along with the children and has truly become part of our everyday life.
For me, this 3-in-1 learning tower is not simply a beautiful Montessori piece of furniture. During a challenging phase with two small children, it was a real help—and it stayed because it is practical, safe, and useful in the long term.
