Function overview & recommended use

Function 1: High chair / children's chair for meals

This function is intended for safe sitting at the table during meals.

• Recommended age: from approx. 6 months
• Requirement: The child must be able to sit independently and steadily
• Features: safety bar, 5-point safety harness, tray, seat cushion
• Application:
  – First meals
  – Feeding and independent eating
  – Sitting together at the family table

This use corresponds to the intended use in accordance with EN 14988.

Function 2: Learning chair / children's chair

After removing the safety components, the chair is used as a normal children's chair.

• Recommended age: from approximately 3 years
• Features: Use without safety bar, without safety harness
• Application:
  – Eating at the table
  – Drawing, crafting, learning
  – Sitting in the children's room or living area

Thanks to its high stability and load-bearing capacity, the chair is ideal as a learning chair through school age.

Age recommendation & use according to developmental stages

From approximately 6 months
(only if the child can sit independently and steadily)
Use as a children's high chair with maximum safety.
The chair is used with the safety bar, backrest, 5-point safety harness, tray, and seat cushion.
This configuration provides optimal support and protection when learning to eat and during the first purée meals, and corresponds to the intended high-chair use in accordance with EN 14988.

1–3 years
The high chair grows with the child and offers greater freedom of movement.
The backrest can be removed, while the safety bar, footrest, and seat surface continue to provide secure support.
This enables independent eating and active sitting at the family table without compromising stability.

From approximately 3 years
Conversion into a learning chair / children's chair.
The safety bar, safety harness, and seat cushion can be removed.
The chair is used as a regular children's chair at the family table or in the children's room.
The seat and footrest height can still be adjusted individually to ensure an ergonomic sitting position while learning, drawing, or eating.

Assembly & stability

• Do not fully tighten the screws during initial assembly
• After inserting all parts, gently press the chair down from both sides until it stands securely on all four legs
• Then tighten all screws

The seat and footrest can only be adjusted in height by loosening the screws – this ensures a permanently stable construction.

5-point safety harness – Use & care

The 5-point harness is mounted together with the seat panel and threaded through the designated openings.
It secures the child's shoulders and hips and prevents slipping out or standing up while the high chair is in use.
The harness is removable and can be cleaned as needed.
