This baby cot is a versatile piece of sleeping furniture with different possible uses.
The recommended age indication is not based solely on the child’s age, but on the respective type of use and the child’s individual development.

👶 Type of use 1: Classic baby cot (cot with bars – fully enclosed)

Suitable:

From birth

For babies who lie down, roll over, sit up, or pull themselves up on the bars

Safe use until:

The child can no longer climb over or out of the bars independently

Important notes:

The slatted base must be lowered according to the child’s development

As soon as the child begins actively climbing, the cot must no longer be used as a cot with bars

Risk if used incorrectly:

Risk of falling by climbing over the bars

Prevention:

Set the slatted base to the lowest position in good time

Stop using the cot with bars as soon as climbing attempts occur

👶➡️🧒 Type of use 2: Low bed with bars (transition phase)

Suitable:

For babies at an advanced stage of development

When the child can stand but cannot yet climb over the bars

Use instructions:

This phase is intended solely as a short-term transitional solution

Increased adult supervision is required

Risk if used incorrectly:

Falling out or climbing as mobility increases

Prevention:

Limit the duration of use

Regularly check whether the child is developing new motor skills

🧒 Type of use 3: Open use (one side with bars removed – sofa / toddler bed mode)

Suitable:

Only for toddlers who:

can get in and out independently

have sufficient motor control

⚠️ Important:

This type of use is not a baby cot within the meaning of EN 716

Not suitable for unsupervised sleep by infants or babies

Risk if used incorrectly:

Falling out

Fall injuries from uncontrolled standing up or playing

Prevention:

Use only under supervision

Do not place the bed near windows, furniture, or hard edges

🛏️ Mattress & accessory instructions (all types of use)

Use only properly fitted mattresses

There must be no gaps between the mattress and the bed frame

Do not use additional pillows, bumpers, blankets, or padding

⚠️ These may serve as footholds or increase the risk of suffocation

🔧 General safety instructions

Regularly check and tighten screws and connections

Do not place the bed near curtains, cables, or windowsills

Packaging materials (e.g. plastic bags) are not toys
→ Risk of suffocation – keep out of children’s reach
