This baby bed is a versatile sleeping product with different possible uses.
The recommended age is based not only on the child’s age, but also on how the bed is used and the child’s individual development.

👶 Use 1: Traditional crib (fully enclosed with bars)

Suitable:

From birth

For babies who lie down, roll over, sit up, or pull themselves up on the bars

Safe to use until:

The child can climb over or climb out of the bars independently

Important information:

Lower the slatted bed base as the child develops

Stop using the bed as a crib as soon as the child begins actively trying to climb

Risk if used incorrectly:

Risk of falling by climbing over the bars

Prevention:

Lower the slatted bed base to its lowest position in good time

Stop using the bed as a crib as soon as climbing attempts occur

👶➡️🧒 Use 2: Low bed with bars (transition phase)

Suitable:

For babies at a more advanced stage of development

When the child can stand but does not yet climb over the bars

Note on use:

This phase is intended only as a short-term transitional solution

Increased adult supervision is required

Risk if used incorrectly:

Falling out or climbing as the child becomes more mobile

Prevention:

Limit the duration of use

Check regularly whether the child has developed new motor skills

🧒 Use 3: Open use (one side removed – sofa / toddler bed mode)

Suitable:

Only for toddlers who:

can get in and out independently

have sufficient motor control

⚠️ Important:

This configuration is not a baby bed under EN 716

Not suitable for unsupervised sleep by infants or babies

Risk if used incorrectly:

Falling out

Injuries from falling while getting up or playing without supervision

Prevention:

Use only under supervision

Do not place the bed near windows, furniture, or hard edges

🛏️ Mattress & accessory guidelines (all uses)

Use only correctly fitted mattresses

There must be no gaps between the mattress and the bed frame

Do not use additional pillows, bumpers, blankets, or padding

⚠️ These may be used as a step or increase the risk of suffocation

🔧 General safety guidelines

Regularly check and tighten screws and connections

Do not place the bed near curtains, cords, or windowsills

Packaging materials (e.g. plastic bags) are not toys
→ Risk of suffocation – keep out of children’s reach
